The 2024 Cottage Life photo contest is now open!
For more than 30 years, our photo contest has allowed eager cottagers and shutterbugs—like you!—to showcase your best photos taken at the cottage or in cottage country. You don’t need to be a professional photographer to enter, but you must have a passion for cottaging and a sharp eye for the perfect shot.
There are three coveted prizes up for grabs. Plus, winners will have their photos published in the Winter 2024 issue of Cottage Life!

First Prize!

Technical requirements
- Take a photo with any device
- The maximum file size is 10 MB. Photos that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted
- JPG and HEIC files only
- Images that are cropped, have watermarks, or have filters applied will not be accepted
Important reminders
- If you're using a mobile device, ensure your camera is set to the highest resolution possible. (This is the default setting unless you've changed it)
- Avoid adding filters on photo editing apps, which can compromise the technical quality of your shot and render it unsuitable for use in print.
- Cropping images taken on mobile devices can also compromise the quality of the photo
- No screenshots!
