For more than 30 years, our photo contest has allowed eager cottagers and shutterbugs—like you!—to showcase your best photos. You don’t need to be a professional photographer to enter, but you must have a passion for cottaging and a sharp eye for the perfect shot.
With three coveted prizes up for grabs, you could also win the chance to have your photo featured in our Early Spring 2027 issue. So get to the cottage and start snappin’! For prizing information and contest rules and regulations, see below.

Grand Prize!Meet the Canadian-made Cabin Sauna™ by Sawmill Structures, a premium, white cedar sauna kit that easily accommodates up to six people. It comes with a cozy, covered porch and large windows as well as an electric Harvia Kip 80 heater. Delivery and installation included. $16,000 retail value.
First Prize!
One of three Tundra 45 hard coolers from YETI—an all-purpose cooler built for the cottage or on-the-go. Fits over 50 drink cans or 15 kg of ice. $450 retail value.
Second Prize!

Technical requirements
- Take a photo with any device
- The maximum file size is 10 MB. Photos that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted
- JPG and HEIC files only
Important reminders
- If you're using a mobile device, ensure your camera is set to the highest resolution possible. (This is the default setting unless you've changed it)
- Avoid adding filters on photo editing apps, which can compromise the technical quality of your shot and render it unsuitable for use in print.
- Cropping images taken on mobile devices can also compromise the quality of the photo
- Images created using Generative AI will not be considered
- No screenshots!
